Intro

The hotel in the centre has been awarded the Location Award and is a cultural hotspot. The whole house is rustic, cosy and uncomplicated. Rooms and suites, as well as designer holiday flats with every comfort. Wellness centre with ice fountain, hay sauna etc. Three restaurants, fondue parlour, bar, wine cellar, sun terrace. Rich breakfast buffet with regional delicacies.

Description

According to the real estate register of Engelberg the present building was errected in 1780 and in 1875 it was turned into a restaurant. After several restaurations and extensions the Alpenclub changed from a restaurant with just 6 tables to its present form. To keep a piece of past, grown landlord's tradition, to maintain mountain inn atmosphere and warmth is our goal. We want to preserve the cosy hospitality in the rooms of the Alpenclub, while the added hotel part, in the rustical style, emits a casual sporty ambiance. The alpine character of our house you will experience in our rooms and suites as well. We took great care in redecorating the 8 rooms to make your stay unforgettable. You have the choice between four categories: Standard rooms, Steinberg room, Titlis suite and the Rotegg room.

The legendary, rustic Alpenclub in the heart of Engelberg is a real institution. First mentioned as an inn in 1875, it has been continuously modernised ever since. Cosy rooms with lots of wood, furs and leather in an upmarket Alpine style. Luxurious Titlis Suite with its own open fire and Jacuzzi. Modern style flats reminiscent of the cheerful zeitgeist of the 1950s. Excellent Swiss cuisine in the three restaurants. Cosy fondue parlour. The Under Bar is a popular meeting place for après-ski.
