The 3-star Hotel Bären is located in tranquil car-free Wengen, about 350m from the railway station with a view of the Jungfrau, Lauterbrunnen Valley and impressive Alpine peaks of the surrounding mountains in the Bernese Oberland. All rooms are equipped with a shower/toilet and flat-screen cable TV, and many also feature a balcony. Seasonal dishes made from regional products are served in the restaurant and on the summer terrace, with a wide variety of alpine herbs and flowers from our own garden integrated into our cuisine. Bärenstübli was one of the first places in the area to have a television, bringing the big wide world to Wengen. The family-run hotel, which has been operating since 1934 and is currently being managed by the third generation of the family, is in the traditional chalet style inside and out. All rooms have been completely renovated several times and are designed in an alpine-chic look. Very personal guest service and beautiful mountain views. The menu boasts select classic and reimagined local specialities featuring various alpine herbs and flowers, accompanied by a selection of exquisite Swiss wines.
