Intro
This charming Valaisan village is situated at the mouth of the Rhone where it feeds into Lake Geneva. It is known for its beautiful beach and its amusement parks, the Aquaparc and the Swiss Vapeur Parc.
Le Bouveret at a glance
Le Bouveret is a haven for water sports; you can take a spin on a paddleboat or on the 'big banana', go pike-fishing, motor boating (no permit necessary), water-skiing, windsurfing, wake boarding, kayaking or catamaran sailing. Of course, you may just want to lie in the sun at the pool or challenge your friends to a game of beach volleyball. If you would rather stay dry, go for an outing on foot or take your bike or skates and explore the lakeshore, the banks of the Rhone and the surrounding mountains.
In summer, this little village offers a multitude of events like free concerts by the lake every Thursday evening, lakeside markets, the two-lake race from Bouveret to Taney, the International Steam Festival or the Swiss Jet-Ski championships. One of the highlights of the summer is the spectacular fireworks show on July 31st. Celebrating the national holiday a day in advance, this is one of the most beautiful lakeside spectacles around and draws a huge crowd every yearMore than anything else, Bouveret knows how to welcome its visitors.
Climb to the top of the Grammont, take a ride on the miniature trains at the Swiss Vapeur Parc, tempt fate on the Aquaparc waterslides, savor culinary specialties fresh from the lake on a sunny lakeside terrace, explore the spectacular surroundings and stroll the quaint village streets. We guarantee you an unforgettable visit!
