Intro
On the 700 metre-long lakeside path – the centrepiece of this tour – participants can discover why Brahms and Kleist were once enchanted by Thun.
Thun's “cultural mile” follows the lakeside path from the railway station to the English-style Schadau Park, then onwards to the KKThun (Culture and Congress Centre).
Historic cultural highlights on the city tour include Schadau Castle, built in the romantic historicist style in the 19th century, the Thun Panorama – the world's oldest surviving circular painting – and Scherzligen Church, one of Lake Thun's thousand-year-old churches.
