Events: Guest excursion, Childrens program in Zernez

Kinder- und Familienexkursion, ab Anfang Juli bis Mitte August jeweils Mittwochvormittag. Wahrnehmung der Natur mit allen Sinnen, spie­le­r­ischer Zugang zu Pflanzen und Tieren. Ab 7 Jahren.

The excursion begins at the alp Zeznina climbs up to Macun and back. Particularities: Macun lakes (23 lakes), crystalline soil flora, pygmy buttercup (only occurrence in Switzerland), rock glacier.

Mixed alpine forests with good opportunities for observing animals, in particular red deer, ibex and marmots; varied vegetation. Mainly on the level, this walk is suitable even in bad weather.

Wolf, lynx and bear are back. On this excursion we will learn about their way of life and discuss their role and challenges for forestry, agriculture, hunting and nature conservation.

Taster tour (2 1/2 h): Mondays during the high season in summer and fall, easy hike for national park beginners in the Il Fuorn area

Zernez is the gateway to the National Park, the geographical centre of the Engadin, and captivates visitors with its authentic Engadin architecture and way of life.

The hike leads through typical mountain pine forests via the Margunet viewpoint, where, with a bit of luck, we may spot chamois, deer or bearded vultures. The descent leads us into the Val dal Botsch.

The church in Lavin, with its restored paintings dating from 1490 to 1500, is one of Graubünden's most famous and remarkable artistic landmarks.
