*L'Étiquette Bleue* entstand ab 2022, nachdem Benoit Chattaway nach Bidogno im Tessin zog und mit dem Werk von Domenico Quirici konfrontiert wurde, einem Amateurfotografen, der in den 1890er Jahren

*L'Étiquette Bleue* entstand ab 2022, nachdem Benoit Chattaway nach Bidogno im Tessin zog und mit dem Werk von Domenico Quirici konfrontiert wurde, einem Amateurfotografen, der in den 1890er Jahren einen tiefgreifenden gesellschaftlichen Wandel bildlich festhielt. Ausgehend von diesem Archiv entwickelt Chattaway keine blosse historische Relektüre, sondern eine Reflexion über die sozialen, technologischen und wahrnehmungsbezogenen Implikationen von Bildern. Die Arbeit fragt, wie Medieninfrastrukturen das visuelle Erleben, zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen und die Konstruktion des Blicks prägen, und zieht eine Linie zwischen den Bildwelten der Vergangenheit und der zeitgenössischen Bildkultur.
