Intro

The Parsenn funicular climbs the Weissfluhjoch in two sections much like an express train. With the Davos landscape below us, the view extends as far as Piz Kesch, the Bernina and 60 kilometres to the south.

Since the funicular first opened over 80 years ago, the Parsenn has been the classic ski mountain with its mix of endless wide pistes and stylish, traditional mountain huts. The Parsenn Derby, the oldest ski race in Switzerland, is held here every year. The ski area is accessible from Davos via the Parsenn funicular and from Klosters via the Gotschnabahn cable car.

The Parsenn is not just a winter destination, however! It is also an attractive summer hiking area, with 700 kilometres of marked hiking, themed and panoramic trails. And mountain bikers can look forward to fantastic bike tours and adrenaline-charged freeride trails like the spectacular Gotschna Freeride Piste from Gotschnaboden.

Altitude: 2,693 metres
How to get there:
Rhaetian Railway to Davos Dorf, two-stage Parsenn funicular to the Weissfluhjoch; or from Klosters Platz via the Gotschnabahn cable car to the Gotschnagrat ridge
