Since 2007, at the spot where a cable ferry used to run, this bridge and lift have provided a direct connection from the Bahnhofplatz Baden to the Limmat Promenade and on to Ennetbaden.
The sensitive design and clever placement provide for an impressive lift ride through the massive treetops of the Oelrain forest down to the river area where the water can be seen going under the bridge. There is good reason why this access way has become the prettiest and most popular promenade for the locals of Baden and Ennetbaden. Visitors to the area also appreciate this scenic short-cut over the river. Red-brown in colour – varying in shade depending on the light – this steel artifact complements its surroundings.
