Intro

On the uplands of the Chasseral in the Chasseral Nature Park, Marcel Bühler creates two Gruyère d’Alpage AOP cheese wheels each day. More than 100 years ago, there were still 30 smallholdings making cheese in this area, but today there are only three left – and Marcel is one of them. With hard work and passion, he is keeping an old tradition alive.

Visitors can enjoy regional meals in the métairie du Bois-Raiguel, including Chasseral platters comprising only local products. This is also a chance for a cosy night in the new guest rooms. The next morning, a delicious breakfast with produce from the farm awaits. Those who wish can also watch the cheese making, which is offered on request from mid-May to the end of September.
