Intro

Computed tomography is one of the most important imaging methods used in medical diagnostics.

Depending on the investigation, the entire body or just parts of it are illuminated using X-rays. The images, which are taken from different directions, produce a three-dimensional, exact picture of bones and organs. The area of application is broad and includes head or multiple trauma, bone fractures, organ changes or internal injuries. In the case of tumours, a CT allows the position and size of the tumour as well as any metastases to be determined.
