What is lime and what can you do with it? What significance does lime have for the built village? What does lime have to do with our architectural cultural heritage? This educational offering enables participants to perceive, analyze, question, and immerse themselves in the cosmos of lime in a playful and practical way with our expert.
What is lime and what can you do with it? What significance does lime have for the built village? What does lime have to do with our architectural cultural heritage? This educational offering enables participants to perceive, analyse, question and immerse themselves in the cosmos of lime in a playful and practical way with our expert. Participants gain an appreciation for lime culture in the valleys of the Lower Engadin. The focus of the offering is to work with local materials, i.e. sand, lime and stone pigments from the surrounding area. Programme: Searching for examples of sgraffito in the village, learning about the various techniques and symbols, visiting a lime kiln, immersing yourself in the ancient knowledge of lime production, designing and creating your own sgraffito/fresco on a sample board prepared with lime plaster.
Dates: 14 and 15 August / or 21 and 22 August / or 11 and 12 September
Duration: 09:00–12:00 and 13:00–17:30
