5 Animal Qigong Move with energy and clarity at Sonnentempel Arosa Start the week with clarity, strength, and inner balance: every Monday morning at 6:45 a.m.
This traditional Chinese form of exercise combines flowing, powerful movements with deep breathing and mindfulness –rooted in Chinese medicine and Taoist philosophy. We imitate the movements of five animals, each of which is associated with an organ, an emotion, and an element: the tiger strengthens the lungs (sadness/metal) the dragon the kidneys (fear/water) the leopard the liver (anger/wood) the snake the spleen (worry/earth) the crane the heart (desire/fire) The practice activates muscles, fascia, and the nervous system, releases energy blockages, and helps to reduce stress, find emotional balance, and start the week full of energy.
