Book launch of the novel "The Comandante's Beret"
Overview
Intro
The Schaffhausen journalist Matthias Wipf presents his first novel, "Das Beret des Comandante". Book launch in conversation with NZZ editor Zeno Geisseler.
The story is about the Swiss ambassador Emil Stadelhofer, who played an important role in preventing the world from getting into a nuclear war during the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962 - as the USA's protecting power representative and with a direct line to revolutionary leader Fidel Castro. Meticulously researched and grippingly told.
In conversation with NZZ editor Zeno Geisseler, the author will officially present his novel at this book launch.
