The ascent to the Stockhorn takes us along scenic passages up to the ridge—an impressive experience with vast vistas and deep views below.
In the evening comes the highlight of the weekend: spending the night in a “star bed” at Oberstockenalp. The stylish sleeping igloos offer a special experience under the starry sky—unheated, but surprisingly comfortable thanks to their design.
Day 2 – Gorges and Caves of Weissenburg
On Sunday morning, the mountain railway takes us back down to the valley (included in the booking). We then drive a short distance further into the Simmental, where we begin our second hike.
The route leads through the impressive Buuschebach Gorge near Weissenburg, past rock formations, streams, and shaded sections. Along the way, we’ll discover the Mamilloch and Zwergliloch caves and cross a suspension bridge—an entertaining hike offering fascinating geological insights and constantly surprising views.
At the end of the hike, participants make their own way home from Oberwil in the Simmental.
