A duo on stage, a couple in "real" life: Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung are among the most sought-after piano duos of our time. Since their meeting in 1997 at the Hamamatsu Competition in Japan, they have been traveling the world. For their debut at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, they present a program full of temperament and elegance. Among the works for two pianos or piano four hands, there are original compositions and imaginative arrangements. Time and again, we will encounter sonorous universes colored by the South: Busoni meets Ravel and Debussy, Poulenc meets the master of tango nuevo, Astor Piazzolla – a sparkling interplay of styles and moods.
