Overview
Intro
Mendrisio's summer 2026 will be livened up with free activities in the city parks because exercise, even for a few minutes, is good for the body and soul. It's never too late to get started!
The proposed activities
To promote outdoor physical activity, the City of Mendrisio is offering a series of free events in the park, open to the entire population and all age groups. The disciplines offered are: Summer walking activities, Yoga, Adult Boot Camp, Qi Gong, Fat Burning, and Kids Boot Camp. A specific program consisting of nine sessions, entitled "Summer walking activities," has been designed for people over 65. The activities will only take place in favorable weather. Participation is free.
The parks The activities will take place in two magnificent parks in the city.
Villa Argentina Park is an oasis of history and beauty where it is easy to experience the most authentic emotions. Built in the 19th century around the majestic villa from which it takes its name, this evocative garden captivates with its centuries-old trees, silent witnesses to the passing of the seasons. A place of exceptional landscape value, where the hustle and bustle of the city dissolves into a green embrace that encourages reconnection with nature and with oneself.
Overlooking the edge of Mendrisio's historic center, the Parco della Casa delle Generazioni is a green haven where time seems to slow down. Thanks to the presence of the Casa delle Generazioni, which hosts community associations and initiatives, the park is an ideal place to rediscover harmony and open one's heart to sharing. Beneath the shady branches or barefoot in the grass, moments of true regeneration can be experienced.
