Endless-Trail-Bike
Overview
Intro
The Endless Trail above Sissach is the first official mountain bike trail in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. After a comfortable ascent through meadows and forest, action and adrenalin await: the obstacle-filled descent, with its curves, waves and ramps, is the highlight of the route.
Description
Jumps over tabletops and doubles of all sizes, steep berms and tight switchbacks – and it’s all on a continuous singletrack. The almost three kilometres of descent below the Sissacher Fluh is sure to set even the most experienced biker’s heart racing. And they’re not the only ones who will be satisfied with the trail: even beginners can ride – and enjoy – it without any difficulties.
The downhill section – the highlight of the route – begins near the Isletenhütte mountain hut. The singletrack has been designed to be flowing and is extremely varied, with a number of different sections. The Endless Trail was planned and implemented by experts and promises a professional level of biking. And it has another bonus that very few other trails can offer: it can be used throughout the entire year.
Once you’ve finished the Endless Trail, it will only take you half an hour to ride back up to the start for a second go. The beautiful natural surroundings of Basel’s woods and a quick detour to the Sissacher Fluh, a popular destination, round off the trip perfectly.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
