At the Gamplüt mountain station at 1,352 m above sea level, you'll strap on your snowshoes and head towards Alp Fros. At the foot of the mighty Schofberg wall, you'll reach the quiet Teseltal valley. Now it gets steeper. The ascent takes you initially through a mountain forest. From the Gulmen hut, you'll continue your track across snow-covered alpine pastures and the elongated ridge upwards towards the Gulmen at 1,998 m above sea level. The view over the Rhine Valley towards Austria, Liechtenstein and into the Toggenburg is fantastic.

At the Alp Sellamatt located at 1,390 m above sea level, where the tour begins, you'll quickly leave the ski resort hustle and bustle behind. Across the high plateau below the Churfirsten, you'll hike through the quiet, rugged terrain. The ascent into the Frümsel valley between Brisi and Frümsel becomes steeper and more alpine. Upon arrival at the highest point at 2,035 m above sea level, you'll be rewarded with an impressive view of Lake Walen, the vertical rock faces of the Churfirsten and the surrounding mountain world of the Toggenburg holiday region and the Glarus Alps.
