Intro
The Basel Steam Baths in the former control room of St. Johann train station provide an oasis of calm and relaxation with a combination of bathing and massage traditions from near and far in an area covering 400 square metres.
Trained therapists offer massages of various kinds: hammam, classic, sports, Thai and Shiatsu massages, as well as Lomi Lomi, herbal, honey and aromatherapy massages. What makes the steam baths so special? Everything a guest could need for a quiet break is available on site. “Pestemals”, traditional Turkish bath towels that serve as bathing robes during your stay, are available throughout the bathing area, as are high-quality body care products. Tea and apples are included in the package. If they get peckish, guests can choose from a menu of hot and cold snacks as well as other drinks.
Getting there: Taking the Basel-Mulhouse train as far as St. Johann train station, taking Tram Line 1 to St. Johann station, by car (blue zone parking spaces).
