Chäserrugg – on the Churfirsten range
Overview
Intro
Relaxed hiking, enjoying the views of the authentic Swiss mountain world, experiencing world-class architecture by Herzog & de Meuron and discovering the gastronomy of Toggenburg – all that is possible on the Chäserrugg mountain.
Whether travelling by train or car, many spot the seven summits of the Churfirsten range on passing the Walensee lake – so why not stop for once to enjoy scenic views down to the valley from a totally different angle? Easiest access comes from behind, courtesy of large carriages and the Iltios funicular railway to the Chäserrugg.
Between rocks left and right, here on the small high plateau the Rosenboden flower trail begins. And once in Toggenburg, be sure to pay a visit to the sound and sayings paths.
