The copper mine in Zinal is the only publicly accessible mine in Switzerland. It was discovered in 1832 up at 1920 m and the ores were completely exploited by the end of the 19th century. Yanis Chauvel guides the participants through the 500 m tunnel and talks about the hard work the miners did underground.
