The accordion duo Wachter-Rutz, established in 1975, presents the diversity of Swiss folk music. In addition to the different styles, ranging from "Urchig" to "typical Wachter-Rutz," bass and piano solos to Musette and Tango, the quartet expands its sound possibilities by using various instruments. For each piece, the most suitable sound character is utilized: from the robust sound of the Schwyzerörgeli to the bandoneon-like, almost singing tone of a chromatic Schwyzerörgeli to the softer, more classical sound of the accordion "Gola".The repertoire includes concert entertaining music, international and national folklore.
