Intro

In the historically important farmhouse on a vineyard dating from 1670, you will find testimonies to the past of the small town on the Rhine and to the bailiwick in Eglisau as well as to the history of shipping and fishing.

Models, paintings, etchings, blueprints and photos document the architectural development that took place. The last bailiff of Eglisau, Salomon Landolt is depicted on several gouaches, watercolors and one oil painting. In the attic, the erstwhile important salmon fishing industry is the focal point: fishing methods are explained by showing tools, models and a video.
