As a space in the middle of the urban centre, the Museum of Emptiness invites you to recover from the abundance, to engage thematically with the emptiness or simply to experience it.
As a space in the middle of the urban centre, the Museum of Emptiness invites you to recover from the abundance, to engage thematically with the emptiness or simply to experience it.
The MoE was founded on Museum Night 2016 by the artist Gilgi Guggenheim. Together with regional and international artists, she initiates immaterial projects that contextualize emptiness in a wide variety of fields and continually redefine it. Visible and invisible traces create a collection of emptiness that is presented in the foyer of the MoE. The curatorial museum program is held in a temporally calm rhythm in order to leave generous empty spaces open. The Museum also offers a work and inspiration room for interested private individuals and workshop leaders.
The Museum of Emptiness extends culture through one offering less.
