Peace, views, space, sun and lengthy distances – the Gantrisch cross-country ski region and beautiful pre-Alp landscapes along with the Gantrisch nature park, on the threshold to the city of Bern, is a most popular spot for top athletes and ski hikers alike.
45 km of cross-country ski trails for traditional skiing and skating combine the main departure points: Schwarzenbühl/Selital, Ottenleuebad and the Gurnigel water divide. The network is supplemented by several somewhat more demanding secondary routes. The cross-country ski trails with reliable snowfalls and views of the Gantrisch range, Lake Thun and the Alps are suitable for dedicated sportspersons as well as amateur cross-country skiers.
