Walter Zoo delights explorers big and small. Experience adventure, understand nature.
900 animals from around 100 different species in near-natural enclosures: Chimpanzees, tigers, lions, lesser pandas, dwarf otters, zebras, Bactrian camels, flamingos, parrots, meerkats, desert foxes and many more.
Walter Zoo in Gossau SG is open 365 days a year. During commented animal activities and feedings, during flight training, on the nature trail and in the zoo school, guests can learn exciting and interesting facts about the animal kingdom.
Catering is also provided. In addition to the zoo restaurant and the various catering stands, picnic areas and barbecue sites are also available. A Sunday brunch is offered on Sundays and public holidays and it is also possible to spend the night at the zoo. Adventure playgrounds, the zoo school and camel and pony rides round off the programme.
Walter Zoo is also an exciting venue for events. Participants experience enthusiasm with many emotions and a varied culinary offer. Guided tours, lectures and animal encounters make the event a special occasion!
