My husband and I have been coming to Switzerland, and specifically, Champex-Lac for many years; we got engaged in Switzerland, and when it came to picking a venue, we knew that it was perfect. We fell in love with Switzerland not just for the extraordinary natural beauty but the lovely people, the delicious food and wine, and the laid back nature of Valais and the alpine towns. We were married in March, and having snow and a ski destination for our wedding venue was everything we could’ve dreamed of. To be married with the backdrop of the alps and a fresh blanket of snow: perfection. Plus, Swiss wine is our favourite wine in the world, and it was so fun to be able to share it with all our friends and family from the UK, America, and elsewhere! 

Our Swiss wedding vendors were truly the best of the best. We had the most incredible experiences with every, single vendor, across the board – from the delicious food made by our caterers to the incredible wine and cocktails to the flowers that our florist foraged from the Swiss woods. Every vendor went above and beyond to make our day special; they made us feel like friends, and by the end of wedding planning, we had become family. All of our vendors were professional, extremely talented, warm, and at the top of their field. Now, over a month after our wedding, we are still getting messages from friends and family about the beautiful decorating, excellent food, fantastic DJ, delicious cake, and more. And, our photographer was second to none — he captured the elegance, simplicity, and spirit of our day to absolute perfection. 

It’s hard to choose just one – the ceremony, when the clouds parted and you could see down the alpine valley as we said our vows; the reception, which was so beautiful and involved hilarious, touching speeches from our friends and family; and our meal and the cake, which was beyond anything I’d ever dreamed of…But I’d probably have to say our dance party – hearing all our favourite songs while we danced with all our best friends, what could be better?! We loved when our vendors joined us on the dance floor, too – it was the happiest, most energetic, best time, and we had the MOST fun.
