Stoos: The world’s steepest funicular

The home mountain of Stoos, a holiday destination in the canton of Schwyz, is the Fronalpstock (1,922m). From here you can see an impressive panorama that includes 10 lakes, Pilatus, Rigi, Säntis, the High Alps, the Swiss plateau and even the Jura. From Lucerne it takes about 70 minutes, from Zurich around 80 minutes.

Les Diablerets: Star architecture with a view to match

Three ski areas with a total of 125km of slopes and a snowpark reach as high as 3,000m. The glacier restaurant, built by Swiss star architect Mario Botta, provides a unique panorama of the Lake Geneva Region. It takes 90 minutes to get there from Lausanne.
