Overview

Intro

The Via Alpina is Switzerland's most famous long-distance hiking trail. From east to west, hiking route number 1 connects the most beautiful hiking highlights across the country over 400 km from Vaduz in Liechtenstein to Montreux on Lake Geneva. The Via Alpina is Switzerland, up close and personal! The third part leads from the mountain village of Kandersteg into the gentle Simmen and Sanen region and across the language border to the Rochers de Naye rock face with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva, where far below in Montreux the finish line of the Via Alpina is crossed. On this comfort trekking tour, you hike with a light daypack. Your luggage is transported from hotel to hotel.

- From the deep-cut Kandertal Valley, past the mighty Wildstrubel, into the wide Simmental and Saanenland, the mountain world could not be more contrasting
- Hike from the glamorous Gstaad to the cheese village of Etivaz and enjoy the Etivaz AOP cheese
- Cross the finish line of the Via Alpina at the Mediterranean-like Riviera in Montreux
