Overview
Trails for all the senses The wind whistles around your ears, occasionally a stone crunches under your shoe. But otherwise you hear... nothing! The pioneers who built the Balfrin High Trail over several summers in the 1950s called the connection between Saas-Fee and Grächen the "Path into Silence" for good reason. Even today there are no pubs or mountain hotels on this hike that could disturb the peace and quiet. This challenging start is followed by the equally scenic Europaweg. The Weisshorn now accompanies you majestically on the next few days of hiking. The Matterhorn comes into view in front of you, high up in the sky an eagle circles. The mountain world through which the Swiss Tour Monte Rosa leads is a feast for all the senses.
