Intro

Storytelling is part of the fabric of Märchenhotel Braunwald, which has been inspiring children’s imaginations for 40 years. Sometimes it even writes its own special chapter – like that of Nico, whose short stories have made their way into the hotel’s repertoire of fairy tales.

Story of the Märchenhotel.

The former Hotel Bellevue became the Märchenhotel by chance. Forty years ago, there was a girl who wouldn’t stop crying during dinner. The hotel manager took her aside and told her a fairy tale, and her tears soon dried up. He promised to tell her another one the following evening. Other children came too, and a vision for a unique Swiss hotel was born.

Once I knew all the fairy tales, I decided to write my own.
Nico

A meeting of minds at reception.

Nico had been spending his holidays in the Märchenhotel in Braunwald with his parents and younger sister for many years. He decided it was time to freshen up the repertoire of stories and so he put pen to paper and wrote down his ideas. Not long after, he handed over his first story to hotel manager Patric Vogel.
