Intro
The 30-meter Eschenberg Tower is located in the middle of the Eschenberg forest. In good weather, those without fear of heights are able to enjoy sweeping views from the top, ranging from the Alps to the Black Forest.
Eschenberg is a popular destination for the people of Winterthur. The hill is crisscrossed with beautiful walking trails which are also widely used for Nordic Walking. Several of the paths lead to a small clearing where the Eschenberg Tower was built in 1889. There is plenty of seating available near the tower and fire pits for grilling. Not far from the Eschenberg Tower are the Bruderhaus animal park, restaurant Eschenberg, an observatory and a farm operated by the municipality of Winterthur.
