Intro
The Esterli Tower was built in 1974 by the local civic community. It replaces the tower built in 1905. The Esteri Tower is 49 meters high and consists of 19 concrete pipe elements. A staircase with 253 steps leads to the viewing platform, which is 45 meters above ground level. The platform is located at 602 meters above sea level.
On the observation platform visitors are rewarded with a unique panoramic view of Canton Aargau. On a clear day you can see southern Germany and the Black Forest to the north, and to the south you can recognize central Switzerland with the impressive Alpine Massif. The Ersterli Tower is easily reached from Lenzburg by foot in about 60 minutes. At the Esterli Tower you will find beautiful and well equipped grill stations. This is an ideal destination for families, hiking clubs or for a weekend stroll.
