Bendicht Gertsch (*1968 in Bern) ist der jüngste Sohn des bedeutenden Schweizer Künstlers Franz Gertsch und hat einen eigenständigen skulpturalen Weg entwickelt.

Bendicht Gertsch (*1968 in Bern) ist der jüngste Sohn des bedeutenden Schweizer Künstlers Franz Gertsch und hat einen eigenständigen skulpturalen Weg entwickelt. Seit 2002 widmet er sich konsequent der Erforschung organisch wachsender Formen. Aus Holz und Stein entstehen Skulpturen, die zwischen natürlichem Wachstum und präziser Konstruktion oszillieren. Dabei gilt sein Interesse nicht nur der äusseren Gestalt, sondern ebenso dem Innenraum als formgebendem Volumen. Aussen- und Innenform treten in einen spannungsvollen Dialog und verschmelzen zu einer vielschichtigen räumlichen Erfahrung. Seine Werke verbinden Leichtigkeit und Schwere, Natur und Konstruktion zu stillen, poetischen Bildräumen.
