Mit dem Projekt CinéGurz, auf dem Terrain Gurzelen, dem ehemaligen Fussballstadion in Biel/Bienne, bieten wir Zuschauern die Möglichkeit, Filme in einer authentischen Form zu erleben, welche heute

Mit dem Projekt CinéGurz, auf dem Terrain Gurzelen, dem ehemaligen Fussballstadion in Biel/Bienne, bieten wir Zuschauern die Möglichkeit, Filme in einer authentischen Form zu erleben, welche heute nicht mehr einfach zu finden ist. Dabei will OpenFlimmer dem Publikum gesellschaftlich relevante Themen wie Zusammenhalt, persönliche Entwicklung, Diskriminierung und Nachhaltigkeit näher bringen. Dies wird in der Auswahl der Filme, aber auch in der Umsetzung des Projektes widergespiegelt.

Die vorhandenen Kratzer, Laufstreifen sowie Klebestellen, die der langjährige Kinoeinsatz an diesen 35mm-Filmkopien hinterlassen hat, sind Zeugen der vergangenen Zeit. Doch genau diese Imperfektion und Vergänglichkeit passen perfekt zum Charme des Terrain Gurzelen.

Wo möglich verwenden wir bereits gebrauchtes Material, nach dem System der Kreislaufwirtschaft und dem Cradle-to-Cradle Prinzip. Somit konnten wir bereits die Leinwand des ehemaligen Kino Uto in Zürich ergattern, sowie Stühle aus dem Tonhalle-Provisorium auf dem Maag Areal und etliche 35mm Filmrollen von privaten Sammlungsauflösungen.

Am Samstag, 25. Juli zeigen wir den Film 'Thelma & Louise' von Ridley Scott aus dem Jahr 1991 ab 35mm-Filmrolle. Türöffnung und Barbetrieb ab 21h00, Filmbeginn um 22h30. Die Vorstellung ist in Englisch, mit deutschen und französischen Untertiteln.

Am Samstag, 22. August zeigen wir den Film 'Marnie' von Alfred Hitchcock aus dem Jahr 1964 ab 35mm-Filmrolle. Türöffnung und Barbetrieb ab 21h00, Filmbeginn um 22h00. Die Vorstellung ist in Englisch, mit deutschen und französischen Untertiteln.

Am Samstag, 5. September zeigen wir den Film 'Pulp Fiction' von Quentin Tarantino aus dem Jahr 1994 ab 35mm-Filmrolle. Türöffnung und Barbetrieb ab 21h00, Filmbeginn um 22h00. Die Vorstellung ist in Englisch, mit deutschen und französischen Untertiteln.
