During this activity, you will meet the famous Hérens cows. These sturdy, powerful creatures will fascinate you with their history and traditions. The mid-mountain guide will be on hand to share captivating anecdotes about life on the mountain pastures and these emblematic cows of our region..
Your adventure begins with a chairlift ride to Tortin. Then, you walk back down towards Siviez following footpaths through the forest and over the pastures. On the way, you will be able to spot the cows grazing in their natural habitat and learn about how important their presence is in this Alpine setting.
What better way to end this outing than to enjoy a delicious raclette prepared for you on a wood fire ? Take a well-deserved break to savour this traditional delicacy in an exceptional natural setting. The smell of melted cheese and the warmth of the wood fire will make this a truly unforgettable evening.
* Bookings must be made no later than 16:00 the day before
* meeting point at 16:00 in front of the ticket sales office in Siviez
* An extra charge of CHF 15.00 (adult) or CHF 8.00 (child) for non-holders of an annual lift pass for the chairlif ride
* Bring warm clothes, and good walking shoes, lift pass, headlamp
