Intro

Das Künstlerduo huber.huber beschreibt mit seiner Installation ein geschlossenes, biotopartiges System als modellhaften Raum der Metamorphose.

Die Installation Warten auf Flügel ist Teil der Ausstellungsreihe «Zwischenräume» im Waschhaus Thalwil. Sie beschreibt ein geschlossenes, biotopartiges System als modell- haften Raum der Metamorphose. Schmetterlings- puppen markieren ein Stadium zwischen Ruhe und Werden, während ein künstlich erzeugter Luft- strom die Vorhänge – hochaufgelöste Scans von Schmetterlingsflügeln auf Seide – in flügelähnliche Bewegung versetzt. Der Raum bleibt geschlossen und ist ausschliesslich von aussen erfahrbar.

huber.huber (Markus und Reto Huber), *1975, leben und arbeiten in Zürich. Das Künstlerduo beschäftigt sich mit Themen, die sich oft jenseits des unmittelbar Sichtbaren und Greifbaren bewegen. In ihren Arbeiten setzen sie sich mit gesellschaftlichen, ökologischen und existenziellen Fragen auseinander und erforschen dabei unsichtbare Zusammenhänge, Kräfte und Strukturen, die unser Leben prägen. Sie machen diese verborgenen Dimensionen erfahrbar und regen dazu an, die eigene Wahrnehmung der Welt neu zu überdenken.
