Visit the most hard working man in Basel, the Hammering Man on the Aeschenplatz.
Since 1989 this 13.5 metre high, eight-ton giant has been swinging his hammer here. The American Jonathan Borofsky, who created this striking work of art, has set up similar sculptures in other commercial centres such as Frankfurt and New York.
