Intro

Baden, Switzerland’s most famous bathing resort, is the perfect place to enjoy a unique wellness experience that harmoniously combines past and present. Here, the centuries-old tradition of thermal water meets modern experiences that invigorate mind, body and soul at all levels. Time to take a break and recharge.

Nature as it was intended: recharge your batteries in the forest
In urban Baden, you’ll find nature is never far away. Just a few minutes from the city centre, the Vitaparcours fitness trail in the “Teufelskeller" (Devil’s Cellar) woods opens up a green world of relaxation and exercise. Here, the forest offers up its invigorating energy while you work on your strength, endurance and mobility. Studies show that just 15 minutes spent in the forest lowers blood pressure and reduces stress – and when the sun is shining, the canopy of leaves overhead provides soothing shade.

Wellness experiences: tradition meets modernity
Along the picturesque banks of the River Limmat, inviting walks lead directly to the historic spa district. There, you’ll find the traditional Novum Spa at the Limmathof and the modern FORTYSEVEN thermal wellness spa – places where Baden’s culture of “taking the waters” remains very much alive. The Novum Spa offers a stylish ambience with a steam bath, whirlpool and a soothing saltwater oasis to pamper body and mind. The feel-good experience is rounded off by soothing massages that provide a fresh burst of energy and lasting relaxation.

The hot springs are also particularly popular, and are the perfect place to enjoy a dip in the warmth of Switzerland’s most mineral-rich thermal waters. The free open-air experience, at a constant temperature of around 40°C, is a great way to get away from it all.

Light culinary delights
A wellness programme is only really complete when accompanied by a culinary treat. In the heart of the spa district, Dory & Du is a creative restaurant that inspires visitors with its light, healthy dishes. The Gault&Millau-awarded cuisine focuses on seasonal, vegetarian creations – meat is available only as a side dish. Fresh, innovative and incredibly delicious.
