Intro

Dedicated to the history of timekeeping, the Musée International d'Horlogerie (MIH) is home to more than 4,500 collection pieces, of which 2,700 watches and around 700 wall clocks. The technical, artistic, social and economic aspect of the history of watchmaking is illustrated here in living manner.

As a visitor, you can slip into the role of observer as well as short-term boss of some surprising little experiments, while your eye catches the beauty and ingenuity of the exhibited movements. Useful and valuable watches have found a home here - and plenty of big names, luxurious pieces and prestige objects invite you to a living dream in our timely world.

Observe watchmakers at work in the Centre for the Restoration of Antique Timepieces. An audiovisual presentation, a multimedia show and interactive clocks complete a visit to the world's largest clock museum.
