Ponds and moorland in the Pfyn Forest

In the heart of this nature reserve, ground water has formed a series of ponds with sonorous names like Muggotolo, Pfafforetsee, Muggenseeli, Rosensee, Schafsee.

Reed beds, rushes, clear water – here you can hear frogs croaking and spot the brilliant blue of a kingfisher or the metallic shimmer of an emperor dragonfly.
