Description
High above Lake Brienz lies Axalp, an alp that was used by centuries of Brienz farmers as a summer cattle grazing ground. Nowadays, Axalp is home to a compact, family-friendly winter sports area. After the winding road to Axalp, the Windegg chairlift whisks you up to 2000 m.a.s.l.
The sledge run starts at the Spycher Restaurant and runs close to the ski slope below Tschingel in the direction of the Hilten Restaurant near Chrutmettli. The exhilarating ride continues along the winter hiking trail through the snowy winter landscape and finishes at he bottom station of the chairlift at 1400 m.a.s.l,… before you do it all over again!
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
