Description
Enjoy a comfortable cable car ride from the car-free chalet village of Gstaad to the Eggli mountain station (1,557 metres above sea level). The downhill toboggan run begins a few metres behind the cosy mountain restaurant with wonderful panoramic views from the sun terrace. Your gaze takes in the countless peaks of the Bernese, Valais, Vaud and Fribourg Alps, as well as the Sanetsch Alpine pass and the Spitzhorn.
This toboggan run is suitable for families as well as more seasoned tobogganers and passes through secluded forests and the silent Gstaad mountains. From the top, you can see into the side valleys as far as Turbach, Lauenen and Gsteig. After about an hour of fun-filled tobogganing on a run that you share with hikers you arrive in the Gstaad district of Grund.
From there you can walk back to the Eggli valley station or to the centre of the famous ski resort of Gstaad. The return journey takes about 20 minutes.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
