Winterwanderweg Fiesch–Fieschertal
Overview
Intro
This hike is perfect for fans of winter forest hikes. The view of Fiesch can be enjoyed at every stage of the walk. The two-hour winter hike leads through the alder forest on a slight hill parallel to the Wysswasser glacier creek to Fieschertal.
Description
The start of this two-hour winter walk is a short, easy climb leading to a wooded part of the valley, in the direction of the Fieschertal valley. The slightly elevated path runs parallel to the Wysswasser glacial stream, which is fed by the Fiescher Glacier. The walk along the «Bregeraweg» path, which passes through a forest of snow-covered alders, offers a series of breathtaking views of Fiesch.
The last section of the path is on open ground: passing through Hämischbode and the hamlet of Wichel, you will arrive in the Fieschertal valley. Any hikers who do not want to go back by foot can take the shuttle bus or postal bus to return to Fiesch.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
