A sportingly attractive route in the heart of the Chasseral massif and amid the forests and wooded pastures of the Jura. Discover the famous smallholdings (mountain inns) and their delicious specialities.
Description
Starting from Les Prés-d’Orvin, 20 minutes from Biel/Bienne, this route offers total immersion in the nature, history and traditions of Chasseral. Nature first of all, with the crossing of the great forest of the Montagne du Droit and Mont-Sujet. Nature once again with the wooded pastures. History with the dry stone walls built by our ancestors and recently restored.
Traditions with the smallholdings on or near to the route (Prêles, Bison Ranch, Bois Raiguel, Pierrefeu, Milieu de Bienne, Petite Douanne, Gléresse, Jobert...), some of which still produce Alpine Gruyère AOC. You simply must make a stop-off there. To complete the tour, you can stop off Forest Jump (running among the trees) and the Bison Ranch.
