Intro
The flat circular trail across the sunny plain near Trin Mulin offers magnificent views of the mountains around Trin and Flims. It is ideally suited for beginners and recognized as a popular "Herzloipe" (heart cross-country ski trail).
Description
Trin lies at the entrance to the Surselva on the edge of the Rhine Gorge, also called the "Swiss Grand Canyon". The trail starts at the Trin Mulin cross-country ski centre next to the sports ground. The first lap already reveals spectacular panoramic views of Crap Uera, Flimserstein and Crap Sogn Gion in the ski area of LAAX/Flims.
The route continues gently downhill to the southern forest edge on the plain. Here, you will find a turn-off to the other trails in Trin and towards Flims. Next up is a mystical section lined with pine and beech trees, often enveloped in morning or evening mist and thus sometimes with different snow characteristics. Passing the Trin campsite, the loop ends back at the cross-country ski centre.
Designated as a "Herzloipe" (heart cross-country trail), the Trin-Prada trail is especially suited to beginners and anyone wishing to improve their heart health. To refuel, enjoy a break on the sun terrace of the nearby Ustria Parlatsch restaurant. The trails around Trin are easily accessible by postbus and a 10-minute walk. At Trin Mulin, you will also find several signposted car parks.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
