Moosfluh Enduro
Overview
Intro
An unspoiled single trail with everything that makes up the Aletsch Enduro Trails: Passages with a lot of flow, technical sections, countless metres of downward elevation and breathtaking views await. After setting off with a view of the Aletsch Glacier, you travel via the Blausee lake towards Riederalp. The best is saved for last: The steep descent to Mörel is guaranteed to give you an adrenalin rush.
Description
It’s a stunning start: High above the Aletsch Plateau at the Moosfluh viewing point, you have a clear view of the huge Aletsch Glacier. From here, the flowing single trail runs fairly easily along the ridge. Warning: This section is popular with hikers – so either set off early or share fairly.
Shortly before Biel, the trail turns towards the Blausee lake – and it gets faster. A few short climbs keep you on your toes. Things get fun from the lake: The easy, flowing Blausee trail, with its banked turns, jumps and creative elements, is perfect for shredding to Riederalp. It winds through grazing pastures, accompanied by the view of the Weisshorn and, further in the distance, the Matterhorn.
After a brief detour through the village, the technical highlight of the route awaits: the wild descent towards Mörel. Steep, stony and gnarled with roots – difficulty level “red” and not for beginners. In Goppisberg, it’s worthwhile stopping briefly in the old village centre (snack station in the self-service restaurant). You then continue through forest and meadows until the final metres on surfaced road take you to Mörel. From here, you take the train – the next Aletsch Enduro Trail already awaits.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
