The famous Guggershörnli – a remarkable rocky mound between Schwarzenburg and Guggisberg - with stunning panorama, is circled on this tour of medium difficulty.
Description
Schwarzenburg, a point easily reached with public transport, serves as starting point for the All Around Guggershorn round tour. It begins comfortably along the Dorfmatten in the pre-Alps direction. Passing the Kriesbaum hamlet, the climb now begins to the first level, namely Neuematt. After a glance at the Gantrisch chain and Alps, the tour now leads downwards to Riffenmatt –and from there, along the south flanks of the Schwendelberg and Guggershörnli to Guggisberg.
In Guggisberg the descent via Walehus and the romantic Pfadflüe to the Dorfwald (forest of the village) begins. A great ride over gravel and natural woodland paths now leads to the impressive Senseflüe. And finally the route leads over a gravel path and asphalted roads back to the Schwarzenburg starting point.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
