Intro

Nestled between hills, vineyards and Lake Thun, Spiez opens up a door to another world. In the lovingly designed toy museum, visitors can embark on a journey into the world of childhood from times gone by.

The Spiez Toy Museum opened in 2005 as part of a private initiative. Extending over several rooms, the collection presents a broad spectrum of the world of childhood and play from the years 1850 to 1950: dolls, teddy bears, construction sets, play shops and kitchens, trains, model cars, tin soldiers, children’s books, social games, and much more besides. Memories will be awakened, and children will discover how their grandparents and great-grandparents played.
