From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June 2026, the Sportfabrique in Bienne (Chemin du Tennis 1, 2504 Bienne – next to Swiss Tennis) will host the Men European Cup, the most prestigious European club competition in inline skater hockey, organised under the auspices of the IISHF (International Inline Skater Hockey Federation). This marks a highly symbolic return: 28 years on, the most prestigious inline hockey competition is coming back to Bienne. The event is organised by the Inline Hockey Club Bienne (IHC Bienne), the local club that will have the privilege of fielding its flagship team (NLB) among the participants. For three days, Bienne will become the European capital of the sport, bringing together the continent's finest clubs, their delegations, supporters travelling from several countries, and a wide regional audience.
Understanding inline skater hockey:
Inline skater hockey draws on the principles of ice hockey but is played with a ball on a smaller playing surface, with no offside and no icing, delivering an intense, fast, technical and physical game for spectators. The participating teams are among the best in Europe and reigning champions in their respective leagues.
Schedule:
First games: Friday 19 June 2026 from 8:30 a.m.
Official ceremony: Friday 19 June 2026 at 6:00 p.m., in the presence of all teams and their delegations.
Group stage: Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June 2026.
Final rounds and award ceremony: Sunday 21 June 2026.
